Welcome to Morning Star Psychology
The Morning Star (Nthanda) is the brightest and earliest indicator of a new day, well before sunrise.
Our ancestors often relied on the Morning Star as a meeting time to commence their journeys. The Morning Star is depicted as a guiding light representing hope and new beginnings.
Inspired by this meaning, Morning Star Psychology in Mackay provides a welcoming and supportive space for children, adolescents, and adults. Our practice offers evidence-based, tailored therapeutic interventions, walking alongside each individual as they embark on their own journey towards improved health outcomes.
Having migrated to Australia myself, I understand firsthand the courage it takes to build a life in a new country. This lived experience has shaped my deep passion for working in migration psychology.
I am especially committed to supporting individuals and families who may be carrying pre-migration trauma, adjusting to a new culture, feeling socially isolated, or navigating subtle forms of discrimination. My goal is to offer a safe, culturally sensitive space where your experiences are understood, validated, and gently supported as you find your footing and rebuild a sense of belonging.
